This is the program that combine a great chance for you to be closer to the elephant and take care of them and visit the famous site of Doi Inthanont highest peak of Thailand just in 2 days. With the lovely atmosphere of the big hug of the forest.
Day 1 : Elephant Ethical + Overnight in the hilltribe homestay.
Pick up from your hotel and heading southside of Chiang Mai around and hour and a half. On the way visit the day local market, See the locals shop their ingredient for cooking and other local stuff. Then reaching at the elephant place, after the arrival you are going to learn about the history and the behavior of Asian Elephants in Thailand as well as elephant care, ethics and all issues about the elephants in Thailand. Meeting the elephants and make friends by feeding them with the organic foods prepared in the sanctuary. Then take a walk and hike with the elephants through the jungle. This is a time to observe them how to finding their own food and their natural behavior. Local style lunch serves in the green banana leaves. After lunch learn and hand on making natural herb balls for the elephants and then bring the elephants to the river for them to cool down. Here you could enjoy watching them playing and swimming in the river which you could also join with them in the river if you prefer to. After that let them relax during this time you are going to relax in the homestay area or enjoy swimming in the river or the waterfall as you prefer. Late afternoon, it is time for you to learn cooking in Thai and Karen tribe local cuisines as well as cook your own dinner. After dinner, enjoy with the team around the campfire under the star lights and night sky. Have a good night in the lovely forest area.

Day 2 : Doi Intanont National Park + Soft Trek at Pha Dork Siew Waterfall Walk.
Wake up in the lovely atmosphere, have breakfast and then saying good bye to the elephants before heading to Doi Inthanont, the highest peak of Thailand with 2,565 meters above the sea level. See the highest peak of Thailand with the stupa of King Inthawitchayanon, the last King of Lanna Kingdom before we became Siam and Thailand later on. At the peak stand the stupa of the king among the cool climate in summer and cold in winter. Enjoy a 30 minutes walk in the Angka nature trail. See the lush green forest area and feel fresh with the cool breath against your face. Then continue to the Twin Pagodas for King Rama the 9th of Thailand and his Queen as the 60th years birthday anniversary which built by Thai Lada Air Force Radar station and locals. Visit Hmong hill tribe market where they sell their vegetables and fruits product instead of opium and having lunch in the local restaurant. Then meet our new friend from Karen man from “ Pa Ka Yor ” hill tribe who going to lead us the walk through the forest area to the village.

Weather tips!
November - February.
During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.
March - May.
This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat, sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.
June - October.
This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
