Itinerary.
Pick up from your hotel at 4:30 am. for your visit to Doi Suthep Temple the most remarkable as well as the landmark of Chiang Mai and catching the sunrise. From the foothill see the statue of the famous monk, Kru Ba Sri Wichai of Lanna who started building the road to the temple without the payment but the charity work of the locals in Chiang Mai and finished within 5 months and 22 days. After reaching the temple take a walk to the Naga stairs with 306 steps to the temple. In the temple ground, see the golden pagodas with the beautiful Lanna design. Get some information and see the sunrise from the high view of the balcony temple. Enjoy with the scenery before heading back down to Wat Pha Lat or the hidden temple, hiding in the forest area. See the lovely scenery of the temple as well as taking photos. Then the last one before returning back to Chiang Mai Area visit Umong temple where once it used to be the secret tunnel where the people and monks in the old days gathering and plan the battle to fight with the enemy to save Chiang Mai from the invasion. Then return back to the hotel.

Weather tips!
November - February.
During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.
March - May.
This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat , sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.
June - October.
This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
